Abstract:
The City of Minneapolis is using the Now Platform to transform the way they deliver services, impacting the lives of more than 400,000 city residents.
Since implementing ServiceNow in 2015 with the initial goal of insourcing IT and creating a single enterprise system of engagement, the city’s vision for the platform has grown to encompass endless opportunities for service innovation across many city departments.
As a strategic partner to the business, IT is leveraging ServiceNow to consolidate, automate and track service delivery across city functions. Key initiatives include: a shared HR and IT service portal for all city employees; a modern, intelligent application for solid waste and recycling; an innovative SMS application of CSM for the city’s 311 service; and applied service automation supporting initiatives such as the Freedom of Information Act, emergency management, and body camera technology.
