In this 3-Part Series Blog, we are going to discuss the features within the Analytics Hub. Click here for Part 1, here for Part 2 and here for Part 3.

The idea is for this to become a "Quick Lookup Guide" for you whenever you may have a question about what something is or how something works on the Analytics hub. We will first look at the Overview Tab and then in a later Series the Compare Tab.

There are many features on the Analytics Hub that can bring great value to your Organization.  Although the Analytics Hub is not meant to be a replacement for a very well put together Dashboard, it can give you great insight into Indicators.  We are going to zoom into each area of the Analytics Hub and give some details about what you get.

In Part 3 of this series we are going to dive into:

  • View Options
  • Visualizations
  • Comments
  • Chart Features

View Options

These toggle on/off the display of:

  • Targets - Display the target score, if defined. This field appears only if the Previous period chart is not selected.
  • Thresholds - Display thresholds such as an all-time high or an all-time low.  Thresholds appear only if they have been defined for this indicator.
  • Comments - Display comments added to date points in the chart.
  • Trend Line - The chart will plot a Trend Lind based on the data points.
  • Confidence Band - Display confidence bands in this chart.  For information about how the confidence band is calculated, see Widget confidence bands.
  • Forecast - Display forecast data in the chart based on current trend data.
  • Data Labels - Display the score for each data point, such as each slice of a pie chart.
  • If you have the Continual Management Improvement application installed, you also have an icon to show or hide Improvement Initiatives find_real_file.png.  If you also have the sn_cim.improvement_requestor role, you can create an Improvement Initiative by clicking the identical icon in the toolbar, as described in the Analytics Hub for a specific indicator.
  • Year over Year comparison - Year-over-year can apply to only one other measurement at a time, such as Score or Change, but not both.  A full year of data is necessary to make Year-over-year meaningful.
  • The score trend line itself.
  • Change
  • % Change

Score is the default measurement.  All measurement types except Year-over-year can be shown together.  Year-over-year can apply to only one other measurement at a time, such as Score or Change, but not both.  a full year of data is necessary to make Year-over-year meaningful.
