Announcing NEW Agent Client Collector Visibility (ACC-V)

Close to 80% of Fortune 500 companies rely on the Now Platform to help drive their business continuity, create and streamline workflows and uplift their employee experience. To help empower today’s distributed and varied workforce we’re introducing Agent Client Collector for Visibility (ACC-V). ACC-V and Agent Client Collector for Monitoring (ACC-M) are combined into a single powerful agent solution that augments IT operations ability to monitor events, discover assets and endpoints, and enhances incident response with integrated playbooks for the digital enterprise.

IT operations and security operations teams need to adapt and respond to an increasingly complex digital infrastructure. The ability to utilize one standalone agent that meets all these complex and pressing demands is paramount to digital success.

Since Agent Client Collector for Visibility (ACC-V) goes live on the 15th of April let’s start with the customer benefits it delivers and then dig deeper into Agent Client Collector overall. ACC-V is deployable on a wide variety of server operating systems and gives us an entry into the coveted End User Computing market.

ACC-V delivers:
• Reliable and scalable discovery of End User Computing devices.
• Agent based server discovery in the datacenter while removing security related implementation roadblocks.
• Better Together – ACC-V does software metering and is a great SAM use case.
• Better Together – Agent Client Collector Spoke allows customers to extend the System of Action by executing Flow actions directly on the agent.

Customers can also evaluate the Incident Response Playbooks by requesting install from the Innovation Lab.

From a license perspective, the customers need to be on v2 of the ITOM Visibility or Discovery SU license model.

Let’s dig deeper into Agent Client Collector capabilities overall:

1. Policy-driven monitoring - Agent Client Collector monitors applications endpoints. Agent Client Collector for Monitoring will reduce dependency on 3rd party monitoring tools to optimize costs and reduce infrastructure and tool sprawl.

2. Push-based credential-less Discovery -Discover IT resources including custom applications without needing credentials or firewall exceptions and remove your data-center blind spots. Easily extend ITOM Discovery to previously undiscoverable hosts and endpoints.

3. Lower your software usage and licensing costs - Collect software and hardware inventory data, usage, know when assets were last accessed, and reclaiming lost/unused licenses. Software metering is included out of the box.

4. Simplify management of remote computers - using queries and commands with ACC Flow Designer Spoke such as osquery to automate and utilize their agents for workflows. Sample workflows are included for getting started. Using ACC Spoke you can drive cross function workflows with ease. This video can show how the Spoke can be used to increase business outcomes.

5. Enhance incident response with automated playbooks – ACC provides Live Asset View, to see live streaming data of the Configuration Items (CI). Agents can use the live CI data to understand metrics such as memory usage, running processes, CPU usage and others, and respond to incidents faster. With integrated Playbooks, IT teams can take remediation actions in an automated way.
