The San Diego release for Legal Service Delivery offers a wide range of new features and capabilities, driven by feedback from our customers like you. Highlighting our release includes enhancements to our Simple Contracts workflow, productivity improvements with our powerful Legal Counsel Center, and finally, a major reporting innovation with a new Legal Executive Dashboard for the legal executive team.
There were three primary challenges we were addressing in this release. First, the heads of legal operations and CLO wanted to have a clearer picture across all the entire department broken down by practice area, in addition to key trends and KPI’s. Second, they wanted more flexibility in how contracts are stored, approved and assembled for those repeatable “template” style contracts. And third, our customers provided us some great time-savings requests for the practitioner to help improve departmental efficiencies.
New Legal Executive Dashboard
One of the key benefits of Legal Service Delivery is the ability to gain insights into all the demand coming into the legal team. For most legal teams, this data has been stored in emails and spreadsheets, making it nearly impossible to report.
With the San Diego release, we have taken our legal reporting a step further with a new, dedicated Legal Executive Dashboard by leveraging the power of our Performance Analytics engine. This new dashboard will give the office of the general counsel and executive leadership additional insight with practice area-specific metrics and KPIs over any time window, the quick identification of legal service trends that can help show legals value to the business, and, finally, specific areas where the team can improve their service and potentially streamline service further.
Simple Contracts Enhancements
Our Simple Contracts Legal Practice app has been a huge hit with our customers, helping them cut down contract review cycle times while offering a self-service option for repeatable contracts. We’ve received some great feedback from our customers to help enhance this workflow further.
In some cases, the difference from one contract to another can be a single line that’s required for a given location, region, or industry. We now provide the ability to identify unique copy blocks that can be inserted dynamically into a contract for a given situation, making it easier to create a single template for the majority of the contract.
We’ve also extended the e-signature capabilities to provide multiple options based on defined rules, such as a customer requiring a specific e-signature vendor.
And finally, that same configurability can also be used to define the cloud storage location of the contract to the preferred vendor, providing maximum flexibility and service.
Legal Counsel Center Enhancements
One feature that legal teams love most about our solutions is the Legal Counsel Center. It gets them out of email and into a true legal home base for the work they need to prioritize.
To continue improving practitioner productivity, we have made a few enhancements, which include the ability to assign delegates to current and future work if the lawyer or practitioner is not available, a simple email acknowledgement feature that may be required for privacy guidelines with a full audit trail, and, finally, the availability of storage for legal disposition information, including all related metadata.
