The ServiceNow Idea Management app enables you to gather and evaluate ideas efficiently, and to quickly identify the ideas with the greatest potential for improvement. The Idea Portal available as part of Idea Management app provides Service Portal based interface to the users to view, submit, vote, and subscribe to ideas. This makes it really easy for all employees to submit ideas through already familiar user interface.
As an Idea Manager, you can promote an idea to a continual improvement initiative to bring all improvement related work in to improvement register.
Pick up any highly voted idea – click on three dots (see screenshot above)- Select open in platform - Create task and select Improvement initiative (see screenshot below).
This will auto populate required field in to new CIM record and task field will showing how that idea is being implemented.
These out of the box integration becomes available automatically when both Idea and CIM apps are installed. As as idea manager now you can decide if an idea needs to be implemented as a one time project or as a continual improvement initiative. Improvement manager can track and show the ROI of continual improvement efforts using prebuilt dashboard and reports.
