Ganga,

How long does it currently take for your homepage to render?   How many gauges do you have on the home page?   Have you tried using "System Diagnostics -> Session Debug -> Debug Homepage Render" to determine which are the longest running gauges?

Thanks

Brian

Brian Quinn hit the nail on the head... first thing to do is to run the homepage debugger and see which gauges are taking the longest to run.. then you can evaluate those gauges for if they HAVE to be there and if so can you refine the query to make it more efficient.

Lived your pain years ago.   Overall system performance would tank every day @ 9am Central.

We found out it was because the Incident Management team wanted all support teams to look at the same homepage for the daily Incident Management meeting.   That was a basically looking at the same 100+ tickets sorted / grouped different ways across 5 or 6 gauges.   It all starts adding up.

To cut down the noise, figure out exactly which gauge they're working off of *most of the time* and put all other gauges as hyperlinks to reports on a custom content block.
