WAP/Wireless Access Points not discovering

Hello Everyone,

I am unable to discover WAP devices. I had chat network team, they mentioned "ICNP credentials are require to connect WAP devices" but ServiceNow doesn't have ICNP credentials type. When I am using SNMP credentials, I am not able to discover any device. If anyone discovered WAP devices, could you please assist me?

Hi Sudhakar,

ServiceNow does not support ICMP. If the devices support SNMP then you can ask your network team to set up the SNMP configuration for those WAP's.

Thanks for your response! Network team mentioned that, they have already setup SNMP but I couldn't be able to discover.

Is Discovery supports WAP devices in Helsinki version? I ever found any inputs for WAP devices in servicenow for discovery.

Hi Sudhakar,

I am not sure whether your particular WAP device supported in Helsinki or not. If the particular device does not support by ServiceNow, Then you can create new custom SNMP classifier.

Hi Sudhakar,

      You might be able to do SNMP Discovery on the wireless controller for these AP's. Here's a similar thread:
