copy contents of one field in to another

I want to copy the entire contents of 'short description' field in to 'description' field in problem management.

can u help me out from this problem.

on update operation and before -

current.description = current.short_description;

Hi,

Create a business rule on the problem table

GIve it a name of your choice.

select: - before & update at the top right

Script: -

current.description = current.short_description;

Then save.

When you go into a problem and add the short description, when you click save, the short description will copy over to the description

Dan - this is useful info but I think what Subhajit Das offered up is what I need.   I need to copy the existing info from one field to another because an errant copy of one field was put onto a form.
