Hi everyone,
I'm a Java developer seeking a bit of startup advice.
I'm new to ServiceNow, and my focus is to develop a CA Catalyst Connector for ServiceNow. The initial ServiceNow environment setup is a bit unclear to me. I require an instance to run SOAP/Webservice calls, of course - what is the best approach to setting up a test environment? I assume creating a Demo Instance Request is the first step, but a mandatory field, "Opportunity", doesn't seem relevant to my goal. I've been spoiled with ready-to-go environments, I guess.
Could someone offer a little guidance in initial environmental setup?
Thanks very much,
- Darcy

I'm just trying to find the best path to establishing a SOAP endpoint so I can perform CRUD operations on the ECC Queue using an external webservice. Am I on the right path by setting up a Demo Instance for this purpose?
Thanks again,

You are on the right path...you can even use one of our established demo instances that are reverted on a regular basis.
I am interested in your CA Catalyst Connector work. If you have some time, let's discuss it further and I can talk about your options.
