filtering out (ObjectClass=contact) in LDAP import

Hi All,

So I've been racking my brains for the last few days trying to do what it says in the title, I can't seem to get this to work at all I've tried filtering it out using (!(objectClass=contact)) and i've also tried filter them out by using (&(objectClass=user)) but neither seem to actually filter out the contact records from the LDAP sync, could anyone point me in the right direction?

Here is the filter I'm currently using: (&(objectCategory=person)(!(objectClass=contact))(!(userAccountControl:1.2.840.113556.1.4.803:=2)))

I saw this recently when I was looking at our AD via ADSIEdit,.

For us we have each region in their own OU and a seperate OU for contacts.   When we import the users, we import a region at a time so it is not a problem for us

you can try this filter

(&(objectClass=user)(objectCategory=person))

I have just tested and that is showing me users from a region OU, and nothing from our contacts OU
