Backlog trend of open incidents.

hi all, I am trying to create a graph that shows cumulative backlog of incidents. it is easy in MS Excel but need to create it in Servicenow..please see attached example and any help much appreciated. Thanks Mark

It should be rather simple using Performance Analytics. 

There you just define indicator for data you need. Opened vs Resolved and show it in Weekly time scope.

I would think the "by week sum" would significantly increase the true backlog, since it should just be a snapshot of a point in time.  Wouldn't you just want the value either at the beginning or end of week to see the trend of how many are open daily?

Thanks for the above. I am new to Servicenow so a little unsure how to implement the above. Could you give a little bit more info on how to create this (child like steps 🙂 Thanks
