is/has this been recorded, if so where can i find it. 1st one of these and had to firefight an issue due to poor testing :-(
This is a Q&A where you can post your question and get answer right away. Did not quite get what you mean by testing, can you elaborate.
Hi. I meant I was kept away to fix an issue due to poor testing from a customer.
can you give me some references for examples of implementing Orchestration, Password Reset, Cloud Provisioning, ServiceMapping and etc.
I'm sure there used to be an 'Insert & Stay with Variables' for the service catalog, am I going mad or this just something I'd like to see.
I'm sure that variable sets are probably the preferred way to go but it's not necessarily what I'd like to do when wanting to delegate access to a certain group of users.
My challenge is that my Service Desk need to replicate a catalog item many times but one drop down from the item needs the default option changing for each new cat item, as the drop down determines approval/roles etc etc linked with it. Yes a variable set would give me the duplicated form BUT I can not default the option and going down the ui policy of client script route i think it too dangerous. So, surley a 'insert & stay with variables' ui action is the answer?!
Dave we have the Copy action for variables. That would provide you what you are looking for.
I would suggest is to first disassociate the variable with the catalog item, then copy the variable. This copies the options(choices) as well.
Once done you can associate the variables to catalog items appropriately. This is required because we have a OOB BR which checks if a catalog item has variables with same name. Copy keeps the name of the variable same, appends the Question with "Copy of".
