    Go-Live preparation

      Hi,

What is your go-live preparation? Do you use a specific checklist you follow?
Any best practice documentation I can review and follow?

      Thank you.

Take a look here at the Champion Enablement: Champions

There is a lot of good stuff to use.

            Hi Dan-

As Goran mentioned, Champions (Champion Enablement Center) has a ton of stuff in there from go-live check lists to how to drive adoption and excitement around the go-live.  If you get an error when trying to access contact champion.enablement@servicenow.com.  This will create a request for access.

            See you there soon!

              Thanks guys,
It seems as most of the material in Champion Enablement program are around the management of go-live activity. I was searching for more of a technical
checklist to make sure the technical aspect of go-live activity goes well.
              Something like:

Install MID Server, Configure LDAP, Configure SSO, Merge and transform update sets, Define Schedule Jobs etc.

Maybe i'm missing it from the Champion Enablement resource? Other reference i can use?

              Thank you.

These seems more like the guided setups that exist within ServiceNow instance. Here you got stuff like Email, LDAP, SSO etc.

Yes, i'm familiar with the guided setup. Was thinking of maybe a best-practice official SNow documentation. In addition to "Do\Don't" on general go-live topics,
maybe some FAQs for Update Sets, HomePages, Scheduled Jobs, etc.

                      Thank you.

Hmm.. Don't think so, besides all the best-practice docs that are at many places in the documentation side for like client scripts, alerts etc. but there isn't a specific area call best practice, they are all in the own little area.

if you got more specific questions, just ask them and I or anyone else will do what we can to answer you.

You got the ACE (Automated Configuration Editor) Report you can order through HI. This will go through you code and see that you follow the best practices of ServiceNow. But I don't think it's free anymore.
