The four icons at the right end of the Banner Frame are not there, and the filter, box, star, and clock icons are missing from the top of the Application Navigator. If I click where an icon should be, I get the functionality--it's just that the icons are not visible. This extends down into internal menus, where direction carets are missing as well as the solid dots that indicate a radio button selection. I don't know that any option I click on has actually been selected.
Is this for your personal demo instance or company's sub-production or production instance.
In any case did you try clearing the cache of browser & also of instance by suffixing /cache.do at the end of instance URL.

I'm using my personal demo instance on my computer at work. I found that if I open my instance on my computer at home, everything is normal. It must have something to do with the way the system is set up at work. I can perform limited ServiceNow operations at work as long as I can remember where the icons are supposed to be. Otherwise, I will have to restrict my ServiceNow personal use to my home computer. Thank you for responding to my question and for your advice.
