onSubmit function of that UI Page, paas that value in the url parameter and use $sp.getParameter("<parameter_name>"); to get that value in server code of widget.
Instead you could simply use an onLoad script on catalog item itself to get parameter value from url and set on to the variable.

Just to clarify you we have few fields available in the UI Page in which i need only 2 field values that to be populated in the variable.
It would be huge helpful if you can help me out with this
I believe you can append the url :
in the script section set redirect to this url you created.
Then fetch the url parameters and populate your fields.

Let me explain in detail:
Once the user clicks on any value example: News Notification and press ADD then it will remove from available roles and populate in Selected Roles as you can see below
Below Application part is designed in Macro and displaying using iFrames
Now after submission of the Catalog Item Selected Roles fields should be populated in below Business Application Selected variable:
So we need to get the Iframe values (Selected Roles) in variable(Business Application Selected)
