- My View
As stated in the question, when users attempt to filter User (is dynamic) (member of my groups) on the Time Worked Table, the report they design will not return data unless they are an IT director or above. Does anyone happen to know if this is controlled by an ACL or something along those lines and/or what we would need to modify to fix this? We want any ITIL user to be able to use this filter option. Thank you!
System Definition > Dynamic Filter Options - find your filter and remove/add appropriate roles to allow use.
Perfect. Thank you. I will look into this one and report back if that works. This has been a thorn in my side for a good long while.
I have not looked at this one - does this consider other people who are members of groups I'm a member of, or only groups where I am the owner?
If it's only looking for members of groups I manage, that would return nothing unless you're the manager of the group.
Good question. This is how our consulting service designed a fair amount of time tracking reports for us at Go Live. They never commented what its true intended use was supposed to be. I always assumed it functioned like the dynamic filter for Assignment Group (is dynamic)(one of my groups), which works for anyone with the ITIL role.
