I have a simple workflow that involves requesting approval to proceed. That part is working as expected. The email that is being sent requesting approval comes from the change.itil.approve.role email template. I need to add data to that email. What I am finding is that some fields are easy to add but others are not. I've added both system defined and user defined fields. The field I most need to include is who is requesting the approval.
Any suggestions, recommendations, etc. Will be greatly appreciated.
If you trying to add fields which are referenced from some other table, you can add mail scripts and refer them in email notifications.

Have you tried:
We are using the "requested_by" field on our change, so that applies to us and this is the field that is requesting the approval.
Thanks for the quick replies. This one is going against Incident. As I was going over Mike's suggestion I had the great revelation...it's hard to display the contents of an unpopulated field! Once I made sure that Assigned To was populated I got what I need.
