- My View
I'm trying to create a report that shows ALL of my Knowledge categories with a count of the number of articles within each category. I'm using this to monitor the usage of the categories and remove or consolidate categories that have few or no articles within them.
I have been able to see all articles with their associated categories, a list of categories and their number of updates (but not number of articles with this category), view counts, use counts, etc. But I just need a simple report that shows:
- Parent ID (would be helpful but not mandatory)
- Category (Preferably "Full Category" but just "Label" would work)
- Count or Number of articles within this category
Anyone have any ideas?
Follow up note:
I created a Pivot Table report where Row = "Full Category" and Column = "Active". However this only shows me categories that contain articles. It does not display the other categories that had been created but have 0 articles. I tried several different Column field selections but result was the same. How can I get it to display all categories, even ones that don't have any active articles, so I can identify those that are not being used?
Prateek that is really close. However it is reporting on the actual articles and I want to report on the Categories. I want to see a count of how many articles are categorized to a specific category. And categories that do not have any articles related to them. The 2 count fields above are counting views on an article, not the number of articles within a specific category. Is there a "count" field for count of articles in that category?
