I have the requirement where i have to generate the report to show all assignment group which were work on the tasks for the specific customer?
In the task history i can see the assignment group field when the value changes. but still not sure how to generate this report.

You need to get a Metric reporting done for the same. Link Create a metric should help.

An out of the box metric exists for that already, actually.
Build your report against the Incident_Metric table, filter for Definition is "Assignment Group" and then filter for your caller_id, or whatever you're using to identify the customer.
