I am trying to add a customization to the Knowledge management Retire workflow in Jakarta (Advanced Knowledge plugin activated), I might use some expertise here as I am unable to achieve it.
I am trying to capture a new "Reason for retirement" field on the knowledge form whenever user clicks the Retire button on the form. I used the popup dialog using GlideDialogWindow to fetch the values from user and save it to the form.
The value appears into the reason for retirement field but not getting saved / getting cleared out in the backend.
UI Page Client
ACL debugging shows write on the field is false. Could this be interfering with not able to save the value.
Does Scripting overwrites ACLs always.
Should I be following some other approach for this scenario?
Hi Mayanka - Try to call a script include from the UI page and passthe comments as parameter . Try to save that info in kb table by gliding to the specified kb article.
